Hi, I’m the person behind Anchored & Aimless. This is my garden journal, where I write about what I’m planting, changing, trying, seeing, and sometimes getting wrong. I share my garden projects, observations, experiments and discuss other gardens that have what my doesn’t, growing in Northeast Zone 7a — with hot summers and cold winters.

What makes this garden different

This isn’t a show garden. It’s a lived-in backyard that gets muddy, weedy, overgrown, and changed around. I’m still figuring thought out, having successes and failures, and learning from some seasoned professionals. So, you’ll see experiments, mistakes, small wins, and the everyday changes that make a garden interesting over time.

Where to start

Glad you’re here

This is a place to look around, borrow an idea or two, laugh at the things that don’t go as planned, and appreciate the ever-changing beauty of nature.
